Stockwell joins Foundation as director/editor

Director/editor Robert Stockwell

FOUNDATION has rounded out its editorial staff with the Jan. 16 arrival of director/editor Robert Stockwell, who joined after four years at Draftfcb, where he had been an active in-house editor on many of the agency’s broadcast spots.

Stockwell was recruited by Foundation’s new VP/general manager and editor Steve Morrison who returned to Foundation Jan. 2, where he’d been an editor before Draftfcb’s hired him in 2006 to establish and head its Inside Job editorial department as SVP/director creative editorial.

A 2006 Columbia College grad, Houston native Stockwell earlier had attended the University of Houston, where he took up art, and the American Intercontinental University in London where film was his focus.

His first job after Columbia was with Michael LaBellarte’s Outsider, where he rose from intern to assistant editor in two years.

Stockwell is currently editing a web spot for Sears apparel and is filming his own “pure cinema” doc, a portrait of Chicago’s contrasting images.

“Having worked with Robert for four years, I can attest to his professionalism and endless creativity,” comments Morrison.

Editor Max Gold joined Foundation a few months also from Draftfbc’s Inside Job. Now, Morrison says, “Foundation’s dream team is complete.”

Morrison is currently editing a Carle health care spot for Marc USA that was shot in L.A. and directed by Foundation’s James Lipetzky.  Last fall Lipetzky and CEO/president Samantha Hart moved from Chicago to work out of Foundation’s new studios in the Hayden Tract in Culver City. Lipetzky frequently returns to Chicago on editing assignments.

On the production side, Foundation’s executive producer is Tracy Heropkie; senior producer is Adrienne Britzman, who joined Foundation a year ago from The Mill, New York; producer Megan Guerrant moved from Filmworker’s last summer and associate producer Lily Mauser-Carter, who joined the company as an intern in 2010.
