Steve Martin ‘Cruel Shoes’ at Chicago Comedy Film Fest

Chicago Comedy Film Festival will present its 9th annual festival in just under two weeks. Shorts, features, webseries, and pilots, to include the Steve Martin recently released animated short film, Cruel Shoes. The four day festival begins March 19th-22nd at Columbia College, Chicago 1104 S. Wabash St 3rd Floor.   

Kevan Peterson directs this short animated film narrated by Steve Martin as he tells his stand up story Cruel Shoes. 

Cruel Shoes, is also Steve Martin’s first published book in 1977. A collection of whimsical stories, one of which was titled ‘Cruel Shoes‘ a satirical short-short story about a woman goes into a shoe store to try – the cruel shoes.

The film will premiere at Cinequest and will only screen at film festivals in 2020. The film is scheduled to screen at CCFF Saturday March 21st at 3:15pm just before the feature film Boys Vs. Girls starring Colin Mochrie.

Kevan Peterson will be in attendance for the Q&A after the film.
