(Chicago — 11 September 11) The Chicago South Asian Film Festival (CSAFF) is proud to host over a 100 filmmakers and artists, representing over 60 films in Chicago at Columbia College and the Showplace Icon and in Oakbrook, at the AMC Theater.

The opening Night film, The Music Teacher, makes its global premiere at CSAFF on September 21st. Director Sarthak Dasgupta and actor Amrita Bagchi will be in attendance for the Red Carpet and post-screening Q&A.

Other cast members making appearances include Neeraj Kabi (Sacred Games, Ship of Theseus, Gali Guliyan, Monsoon Shootout) and Shefali Shah (Satya, Gandhi – My Father, Monsoon Wedding, Dil Dhadakne Do) who will walk the Red Carpet at the Oakbrook AMC on September 21st and at the post-screening Q&A of their Closing Night film, Once Again, at the Showplace Icon on September 23rd.

Indian film and television actor, director, and producer, Parambrata Chatterjee (Kahaani, Hemlock Society) will also be arriving to discuss his film, The Golden Mountain.
