Shoot is shot if hurricanes persist

Pending the end of the hurricane season, Michael Neumann’s One World Productions is gearing up to shoot three spots for Miami agency Tinsley Advertising.

Director/DP Neumann and a crew of One World staff and Florida freelancers are scheduled to shoot a Miami Children’s Hospital spot in early October, and two Florida Keys tourism spots later in the month.

Neumann was scheduled to scout the Miami shoot in mid-September, but “because of the weather, the dates have been floating,” he said. “We may have to evacuate.”

The Miami spot will highlight the Children’s Hospital’s kid-friendly environment. “The hospital is built to scale for kids,” Neumann said. “There’s a funky playroom with fiber optic toys and some of the doctors dress up like clowns.

“We’re casting cute kids trying to do things that are too big for them, like trying to reach something that’s way too high or ride a bike that’s too big. Then we’ll show the hospital doing the very serious work of saving kids’ lives.”

Neumann is shooting the Children’s Hospital spot on the Arri D-21 film-style HD camera.
