“Sexperts”—Columbia’s new web/mobile series

With the production of the 5-minute comedy web series “Sexperts,” Columbia College’s Television Department launches its new Internet and Mobile Media concentration.

“Sexperts” is a comedy “about a couple that decides to start offering sex advice in a close-minded small town in rural Illinois,” said Wojciech Lorenc, digital media technologist for Columbia’s Center for Instructional Technology and a professor in the TV department.

The new concentration is “dedicated to exploring the Internet and mobile delivery and development of content for online and mobile platforms,” said Lorenc.

“Sexperts” is scheduled to go live April 1 and “it’s turning out to be a pretty exciting production,” he said. “We managed to cast A-listers of the online video world.”

Chicago actors Beth O’Neill (“The Swing”) and Brian Rabinowitz (“When Weather Changed History: Hindenburg”) are the stars.
