Seminars with famous still shooters at Photo Forum

A first for Chicago — the all-day Stand Out Photographic Forum Thursday, Nov. 3 — brings six notable commercial still photographers demonstrating their specialties in meaningful seminars, presented by ProGear Rentals

The speakers and their seminars are:

Albert Watson, one of the world’s preeminent fine art, commercial and fashion photographers of all time, whose photography is featured in galleries and museums worldwide.

Bella Kotak, a fine art, fashion and conceptual artist based in England, and Pratik Naik, a high end retoucher, will produce a fantasy-inspired scene to life. Kotak explains to direct and shoot it and Naik instructs how to seamlessly incorporate Capture One in the retouching workflow.

Erika Blatt, Wonderful Machine marketing specialist, on “Marketing a Cohesive Brand” discusses how to perfect your brand and market and appeal to your target client base, engage in active marketing and build client relationships.

Jeff Rojas, in his “Men’s Portrait & Fashion Seminar,” explores the fundamentals of posing, lighting and editing techniques fthat compliment all shapes and sizes of men.

Michael Bonocore, Resource Magazine’s travel editor provides “Tips and Techniques for Creating Unique Travel Photographs,” and tells how to get off typical tourist routes and work within local communities to make travel galleries distinctly unique.

Clay Cook, an advertising and editorial photographer whose work appears in major magazines, on “Success, How Bad Do you Want It?” the story of how he strategically moved up with the ladder and chose never to give up.
