Schafer Condon Carter has appointed Liam Boyle as Chief Growth Officer, as the independent Chicago agency continues to build out its leadership team and growth strategy.
Boyle will report directly to President and CEO Ben Behrman and work alongside SCC’s executive leadership team to strengthen the agency’s position as a challenger-brand-focused agency competing in fast-moving markets.
He most recently led growth and new business efforts at Bader Rutter, working across categories including food and beverage, agriculture, petcare, and manufacturing. His experience includes work with brands such as Kellogg’s, Nestlé, Converse, Unilever, Wilson Sporting Goods, and Toyota.
“We’ve enjoyed recent new business success and are on a roll,” said Behrman. “Liam is exactly the kind of leader who can help us build on that momentum. He knows how to turn opportunity into growth, and how to do it in a way that plays to the strengths of the agency.”
Boyle’s background spans both independent agencies and larger holding company environments, including roles at Edelman, The Sound, Omnicom, and The Escape Pod Group.
According to Schafer Condon Carter, that mix of experience aligns with the agency’s positioning as an independent shop capable of delivering the scale and capabilities of larger networks while remaining nimble and collaborative.
In the new role, Boyle will focus on expanding SCC’s growth engine, strengthening strategic partnerships, and identifying categories and clients that represent the strongest long-term opportunities for the agency.
“Challenger brands need partners who think the same way — fast, connected, and opportunity focused,” said Boyle. “SCC is built for that, and I’m excited to help take it to the next level.”
The appointment follows several recent leadership moves at SCC, including the promotion of Jack Hennessy to the newly created role of Chief Operating and Media Officer and the addition of former Google executive and co-author of The AI Marketing Canvas, Jim Lecinski, as a senior advisor focused on AI and client value creation.
