Savvy panel to discuss “Watching 1990s’ sports TV”

If you remember all the excitement of sports in the day of Michael Jordan’s three-peat dominance and Slammin’ Sammy Sosa’s endless homers for the White Sox, you’ll want to attend the Museum of Broadcasting’s special afternoon program, “Watching TV in the ‘90s.”

The era will be discussed by a sports-savvy panel of Matt Spiegel, co-host, “The Spiegel and Goff Show,” WSCR 670 The Score; Fred Mitchell, Chicago Tribune sports writer for more than 40 years; Matt Baron, longtime newspaper and magazine reporter, sports & stats columnist and moderator Tom Shaer, longtime Chicago television and radio sports anchor and reporter.

They will engage in a lively program on the roller coaster moments that defined the decade and set the stage for the subsequent ironies and illusion-shattering revelations.

At MBC, 360 N. State. Admission is $12 with 50% discount ($6) for MBC members and those who mention SWCR 670 the Score. Purchase tickets here.
