creator of “Beast”
Continuing its growth and its investments into excellence, design-driven production company Sarofsky is adding Ben Strang to its directorial roster.
The news was announced by company Principal and Executive Creative Director Erin Sarofsky, and Executive Producer Steven Anderson.
Based in Santa Monica, Ben is an award-winning writer-director and photographer, as well as being the creator of the ambitious original episodic series, Beast.

Upon its debut at the 2018 SXSW Film Festival, the series’ pilot immediately drew critical acclaim. Awarded the festival’s Grand Jury Award for Independent Episodics, Indiewire’s review compared Ben to Steven Spielberg, and his story to Stranger Things.
Also highly accomplished as a director in the commercial, branded content and music video realms, Ben’s growing portfolio of projects explores history, community identity and the resilience of the human spirit. Born in Maryland, he earned his B.A. in Film Production from USC’s School of Cinematic Arts.
“We were immediately drawn to Ben’s work, not only because of his amazing craftsmanship, but also due to its wide range, spanning advertising and entertainment,” Erin says. “As Sarofsky grows, we find our clients’ needs are constantly evolving. Demands are rising for all-in-one solutions and a wider variety of styles.
“Ben’s live action work is cinematic,” she continues. “He connects with people in a visceral way. Being able to offer that caliber of live action on our roster is something we have been seeking and hoping for.”
