(Chicago — 14 November 2018) Erin Sarofsky and her colleagues at the Chicago-based design-driven production company Sarofsky have just announced the launch of Sarofsky Labs: A Weekend Workshop Series.
The series’ first monthly installment focusing on Designing for Motion is set to occur during the weekend of Feb. 9-10, 2019.
Topics for following months currently include:
Main Title Concept and Pitching
Producing for Motion
File Management and Project Workflow
3D Motion Graphics: Design and Animation
UI/HUD Motion Design
Motion in Branding
According to Erin, this development has arisen from the desire to show the world how the acclaimed studio manages and works with the challenging real-life scenarios it faces on a daily basis.
While the workshops will cover a wide range of creative topics, they will address production and pipeline-related items as well.
The Sarofsky portfolio includes work in branding, design, and entertainment. Highly visible sequences for Shameless, Avengers, Doctor Strange, Captain America, and Full Frontal with Samantha Bee are among the company’s recently completed projects.

“The goals are to immerse students inside a working production paradigm, teach invaluable working knowledge on each topic, and help every student produce a portfolio-worthy project,” she explained.

“Over the past ten years, we have come a very long way, and we know that our staff represents a major force in the entertainment industry in terms of talent and expertise,” added Sarofsky’s Executive Producer Steven Anderson. “These workshops will be guided by our artisans and producers. From start to finish, we will seek out imaginative and thoughtful ways to ensure each student is given the full benefit of our expertise.”
