SAG/AFTRA’S Willenborg new IPA president

The Illinois Production Alliance elected its second slate of officers since officially organizing in 2003, headed by president Eileen Willenborg, SAG/AFTRA executive director, for one-year terms.

The officers are: first VP, Mark Egmon, AICP president and previously IPA president; second VP, Sharon King, casting director; secretary, Wayne Kubacki, Essanay; treasurer, Bob Hudgins, IFP/Chicago president.

The 21-person board consists of: Optimus’ Tom Duff, AICE president; UPM Tom Busch; Chicago Audio Works’ Scott Smith; Columbia College’s Bruce Sheridan; DGA’s Dan Moore; Fletcher Chicago’s Archie Fletcher; producer Sandy Gordon, Dan Nearing of Governor’s State University; Local 476’s Paul Oddo; public relations executive John Digles; Northern Power & Light’s Marty Rhomberg; casting director David O’Connor; Steppenwolf’s Apphia Parsons; Story Companies’ Mark Androw, also national AICP chairman; Local 769’s Jennifer Jobst; production coordinator Margaret Thomas; and the newly elected officers.

Committees and chairs: Business development, Mark Egmon; strategic planning, Bruce Sheridan; legislative, Dan Moore; public relations, John Digles; internal communications, Sandy Gordon. Committees without chairs: Diversity, membership and fund-raising.

The IPA has 143 members. Cost of membership ranges from $50 for students to $1,000 for companies, associations and organizations. Companies with two or less employees and individuals pay $250.
