IN FROM THE SIDE
Matt Carter | UK | 2022 | 134 Mins

Dark-eyed Mark (Alexander Lincoln) is a new member of the “B” league of a gay rugby club. He’s also their greatest chance of showing up the muscle-bound star of the squad, Warren (Alexander King). Amidst the after-match pints of a particularly brutal game, Mark shares a quick dance with Warren and an even quicker hook-up in the john. Their heated encounter leads to the biggest danger of all: love. The heat rises from the screen in this film from director Matt Carter who also co-wrote, shot, edited, and scored.

SPECIAL SCREENING OF BROS ON 9/26!
The 40th edition of Reeling is proud to present the first romantic comedy from a major studio (Universal Pictures) about two gay men maybe, possibly, probably, stumbling towards love. Maybe. They’re both very busy.

From the ferocious comic mind of Billy Eichner (BILLY ON THE STREET, 2019’S THE LION KING, DIFFICULT PEOPLE, IMPEACHMENT: AMERICAN CRIME STORY) and the hitmaking brilliance of filmmakers Nicholas Stoller (the NEIGHBORS films, FORGETTING SARAH MARSHALL) and Judd Apatow (THE KING OF STATEN ISLAND, TRAINWRECK, THE BIG STICK), comes BROS, a smart, swoony and heartfelt comedy about how hard it is to find another tolerable human being to go through life with.
