Helmer Hinlein moves to Durable Goods

Venice, CA-based production company Durable Goods has signed director Liz Hinlein for U.S. commercial representation. As an accomplished director and cinematographer with over two decades of experience pioneering as an award-winning female voice across advertising, feature film, music video and VR work, Hinlein continues to discover and embrace news ways to bring stories to life, no matter the medium. Bringing an eye for visually-stunning storytelling, she has directed spots for such top brands as Dove, Lifetime, Revlon, Gillette, Maybelline, A&E, MAC Cosmetics and numerous others. Most recently, the VR film she directed for Accenture “Behind the Style” won the award for “Best Branded Content/Commercial” as part of VR FEST at 2018 CES. The piece blends an interactive VR fashion shoot with virtual commerce and a branching narrative.

Batista joins Deutsch LA as EVP Head of Design

Following a long stint as a freelance creative/design director, animation director and illustrator, Adhemas Batista joins Deutsch. He will be tasked leading design for all Los Angeles clients, managing a team of over 20 designers while reporting to chief creative officer, North America Pete Favat.

“Adhemas is no stranger to Deutsch. We have worked together before and his talent as an artist is next level,” Favat said in a statement. “He has led design on global campaigns that have moved the needle for our industry. Getting him on board is a huge win for us and we are excited to have his craft on our business.”
