Besides offering a ballroom full of dinner guests the opportunity to witness an intimate conversation between Ethan Hawke and Vincent D’Onofrio, the Gene Siskel Film Center’s annual Renaissance Gala brought together dozens of enthusiasts and professionals from the Windy City film community.
The swanky and enlightening event was held this year at the Ritz Carlton.
Windy City actors, directors, and publicists hobnobbed in a salon adjacent to the hotel’s Grand Ballroom, where the guests of honor occasionally passed and stopped to chat on their way to grab a drink or browse the film posters on display.
Reel Chicago spent a few minutes with the people who came to celebrate as well as with D’Onofrio, who led the main event onstage with Hawke following dinner.
