Reed’s Bam Studio moves to new space

Brian Reed’s Bam Studio has moved into Spots BME’s former audio room, the only audio room in the Midwest designed by Russ Berger, who is considered one of the two top accoustical engineers (John Storyk is the other) in the music business.

Last year Spots BME gave up its in-house audio studio, considered one of the city’s’ best, to concentrate on spot editing.

Reed equipped the room with “every wire, every piece of gear I ever had,” he said. Bam is based on ProTools HD Accel, “the latest and greatest version of their hardware,” Reed added, “and we feature full 5.1 Surround mixing.”

In business since 1999, after the closing of Skyview, one of the city’s premiere post houses, Bam had been located at 211 W. Ohio. On staff are associate engineer Jonathan Karz and office manager Letitia Meza.

New address is 1 E. Erie, suite 350; new phone, 312/255-8862.
