A trio of large, new mobile production vehicles, built and equipped at a cost of nearly $250,000, has been added to Product Productions’ fleet of 12 vehicles that includes grip/lighting and delivery trucks and a camera car.
Offered for the first time are a versatile mobile home and honeywagon and a craft service truck that does double duty as a prop truck.
The biggest utilitarian vehicle is a 40-ft. motor home whose shell was purchased and renovated and equipped in-house. It comes with a makeup station, with sink and mirror, wardrobe area, seating area for a production office ? complete with flat screen monitor, copier and cappuccino maker ? and bathrooms.
“It can be used entirely for wardrobe and it works out very well if you need an office on location,” said Bennett Grossman, general manager/executive producer.
