Product Productions produces for Singapore spot

KISMET FILMS OF SINGAPORE hired Product Productions as its local production company on a commercial for Unilever’s Sun Silk shampoo.

The three-day shoot takes place this week at Unilever’s tech center in Rolling Meadows and at Millennium Park.

Jonathan Finn of Singapore directs the shoot, featuring popular Indian actress Mansi, who talks to scientists responsible for the product. Product’s Bennett Grossman is production manager, Phil Contursi, key grip and Andrew Yuncza gaffer. Film to be processed at Astro.

EDITWORKS’ producer/director Craig Donald and DP/editor Paul Kotkovich are in Turku, Finland this week shooting for long-time client Royal Caribbean on one of its cruise ships.

Actually, they are capturing the finishing touches on the construction of The Freedom of the Seas, the world’s biggest cruise ship when she enters service later in April, with 3,600 (double occupancy) guests.

The team will complete from two to four videos that will run on Freedom’s full-size flat screen TVs in all the guest staterooms and public areas.

EBEL PRODUCTIONS’ “Nose Symphony” spot for new Children’s Dimetapp features five sneezing, blowing and snorting youngsters as the voiceover tells moms how the product eases nasal-related symptoms.

Bob Ebel directed the four-to-six year olds chosen among the 150 who auditioned for casting director Kathi Baldwin. Agency was McCann Erickson, New York; David Kessler was DP; Steve Ford Music’s David Blamires composed original music.

CAREY LUNDIN directed the annual Illinois Secretary of State’s Organ Donor campaign, featuring the Bob Marley song “Waiting in Vain,” donated by the Marley Foundation.

The campaign has a $1.75 million media buy and airs statewide on TV and in movie theaters duuring April Organ Donor Month. S2 finished for agency Adelstein/Liston.
