Pringles is coming for the most overlooked part of the hot dog. The brand has introduced Pringles Pop Dog Buns, a limited-edition line of can-sized, potato-based hot dog buns infused with the flavors of three classic Pringles varieties: Sour Cream & Onion, BBQ and Honey Mustard.
Launching ahead of National Hot Dog Day, the new buns are part of Pringles’ ongoing “Once You Pop, The Pop Don’t Stop” campaign, which continues to push the brand beyond the chip aisle and into unexpected food moments.
The idea is simple: if people are already putting chips on hot dogs, why not make the bun taste like Pringles too?
The Pop Dog Buns are 7.5 inches long and packaged in the brand’s iconic cans, turning the traditional bun into what Pringles is calling the “top dog” of the summer cookout. The buns are designed to be paired with hot dogs, served alongside Pringles crisps or loaded with extra chips for a double hit of flavor and crunch.

“This summer we’re bringing the ‘Once You Pop’ experience to the center of the plate,” said Mauricio Jenkins, Salty Snacks Brand & Content Lead, Mars Snacking North America. “We wanted to take something everyone knows and completely flip it into an exciting new snackable experience.”

A soft, potato-based bun inspired by the tangy, savory and creamy flavor of the classic Pringles crisp.
Pringles BBQ Pop Dog Buns
A smoky-sweet bun designed to bring backyard barbecue flavor straight into the bread.
Pringles Honey Mustard Pop Dog Buns
A sweet-and-tangy twist on the classic hot dog bun, pairing honey flavor with mustard bite.
Fans will have two chances to grab the limited-edition buns. Drops are scheduled for Wednesday, July 8, and Wednesday, July 15 (National Hot Dog Day), at 12 p.m. ET.
The buns will be available free with the purchase of a Pringles Three-Pack featuring Sour Cream & Onion, Honey Mustard and BBQ crisps for $6.97. The offer will be available while supplies last through OnceYouPopMarket.com and Pringles’ Instagram and Facebook Shops.
