The WayMaker Men’s Summit, the nation’s largest empowerment conference for Black men, returns to Chicago this year on September 6th and 7th, bringing with it a renewed focus on self-growth under the theme “Competing Against Yourself for Growth.”
Founded by Louis Carr, this year’s summit offers attendees two days of inspiring speaker sessions, hands-on experiences, and networking opportunities, all aimed at fostering personal and professional development.
Carr shared his vision, saying, “The WayMaker Men’s Summit challenges Black men to compete against their own potential for growth. By bringing together influential voices and motivated attendees, we’re creating a platform where our community can connect, learn, and emerge as tomorrow’s leaders.” He emphasized that the summit’s impact goes beyond these two days, with hopes of inspiring change that will ripple through families, communities, and future generations.
Taking place at the Convene conference center in the Willis Tower, this year’s event will feature an exciting lineup of guest speakers including NBA star Kyrie Irving, Nick Cannon, hip-hop artist Young Dro, Power Book IV: Force actor Isaac Keys, Kickstarter CEO Everette Taylor, MACRO CEO Charles King, and author Dr. Marcus Collins.
Attendees can expect powerful sessions and activations, such as a Financial Literacy Workshop, a Wellness Zen Zone, and a Networking Reception, among many others.
