Pitch idea for new biz funding to venture capitalists

You’re an early-stage company with a great idea for a new business but lack financing? The Illinois Venture Capital Association’s all-day Midwest Venture Summit 2005 is the place to make a pitch.

Deadline for presenting a five-to-eight page executive summary is March 25 to be emailed to info@ventureconference.com. The summit takes place May 20 at the Chicago Marriott. Applications will be screened by a panel of venture capital and private equity investors.

A $295 presentation fee includes submission, attendance for two individuals from your company (including the presenter) at both the event and the welcome reception, and exhibit booth space at the event.

Companies selected to present will be notified on or about April 8. They will present their business plans to the hundreds of venture capital, private equity and angel investors expected to attend.

Selected companies will receive free consulting from teams of experts in finance, accounting, management and marketing to prepare for the presentations.

More than 450 persons attended last year’s summit. Presenting companies received more than $30 million in funding.
