Phoebe Dynevor (Fair Play, “Bridgerton”) is set to star in Wichita Libra from writer/director Henry Dunham.

The film is written and directed by Henry Dunham, who is known for his 2019 debut feature The Standoff at Sparrow Creek. It is produced by Jay Van Hoy, whose filmography includes The Lighthouse, The Witch, American Honey, Hell of a Summer.

We have yet to confirm whether there will be a few days of filming in Chicago, as the main character lives in Chicago but returns to her Kansas hometown to solve murder mystery.

The story:

The drama is set in the rural Kansas hometown of Frannie Jacobs (Phoebe Dynevor) and the aftermath of a triple murder that tore apart her family and caused her to flee to Chicago to start a new life. A decade later, she is drawn back home after her brother’s death to decode a cryptic letter he left behind. The letter suggests that the wrong man was charged with the crime that tore her community apart all those years ago and that an anonymous missing woman could clear his name.

The film is currently in pre-production and is expected to begin shooting this year.

Mister Smith Entertainment will launch international sales at the 2023 European Film Market in Berlin later this month. UTA is handling North American rights.

“We were immediately hooked by Henry Dunham’s atmospheric, completely immersive storytelling and are thrilled to be working with such a strong creative team on Wichita Libra,” stated Mister Smith Entertainment’s Founder and CEO David Garret. “We are so excited to see what Phoebe Dynevor brings to the complex, conflicted and compelling role of Frannie.”
