Patrick Lives On unites Chicago’s film community for a cause

Patrick Lives On

The 2026 Patrick Lives On Film Showcase will open with a curated slate of selected short films and PSAs, bringing filmmakers and Chicago’s production community together for an evening that blends storytelling with purpose.

This year’s lineup includes All Eyes On You (Dylan Kaufmann), Let’s Change the Norm PSA (Tim Mason), Apolitical (Mishu Hilmy), Brac (Armin Korsos), Deepa (Anita Chandwaney), On Broken Glass (Timothy Troy), This Ghost Wants a Friend (Yanely Castellanos & Salvador Salazar), Coexist (Angie Panganiban), Redline Prophecies (JD Collins), Peter (Michael G. Flores), Heat Initiative PSA (Tim Mason), A Leaf From the Moon (Vic Dieu Vy & Nguyen Tran), Welcome to Heaven (Andy Markantonatos), The Knot Job (Afrim Zenuni & Tommy Martin), and Cora Dale – A Rediscovered Harmony (Silas Immanuel & Isabel Massud Faria de Souza).

The showcase supports Patrick Lives On, the nonprofit founded in April 2016 by filmmaker and former Chicago P.D. script supervisor Patricia Frontain following the loss of her 14-year-old son, Patrick Boswell, to gun violence on January 2, 2015. Frontain transformed personal tragedy into action, establishing an organization focused on helping junior high and high school students throughout Chicagoland.

Patrick Lives On provides funding for after-school programs and structured youth activities, creating positive environments designed to keep teens engaged and safe. Through public service announcements and film-driven outreach, the organization continues to advocate for nonviolence and youth support.

This year’s showcase is sponsored by Resolution Studios, Cinespace Studios, Panavision, Keslow Camera, AICP, Harbor Picture Company, Camera Ambassador, Paskal Rudnicke Casting and additional industry supporters, underscoring the depth of backing from Chicago’s production community.

Festival leadership includes Founder Patricia Frontain, Festival Chairperson Sharon Walker and Submissions Chairperson Tayler Gilchrist.

The event takes place at Resolution Studios, 2226 W. Walnut Street in Chicago. Doors open at 6 pm. The showcase begins at 7:30 pm.
