Outsider editor Tim LoDolce was literally R. Kelly’s right hand man as he sat next to the superstar editing Kelly’s latest music video, “Same Girl,” at Kelly’s South Side home.
“He had written the song and the story, and my objective was to make his vision come to light,” said LoDolce.
Collaboratively, LoDolce and Kelly edited the music video, in which Kelly sings a duet with Usher, on LoDolce’s laptop, using Avid’s Express software.
The song is from R. Kelly’s “Double Up” album, his eighth studio album, featuring his duets with other top R&B and hip hop artists.
“Avid has all the information in a timeline. I can take the timeline and send it via Email to wherever the finishing process takes place and the edits link together according to the timeline,” LoDolce said.
