Oscar nominee Lending’s doc “Omar and Pete” concludes “P.O.V.” season on PBS Sept. 13

“Omar and Pete,” the latest film from Oscar-nominated and Emmy-winning documentarian Tod Lending (“Legacy”), has its broadcast premiere Sept. 13 in the season finale of the national PBS doc series “P.O.V.”

Lending’s film follows repeat offenders Leon Omar Mason and Pete Duncan as they’re released from prison through the Maryland Reentry Program and struggle to turn their lives around.

Two months after Lending finished shooting, Mason was arrested for armed robbery and sentenced to 25 years.
