Y&R CD Jon Wyville joins Fallon/ Minneapolis as a group CD Feb. 7. His credits at Y&R include recent work for Miller and NASCAR. Earlier he’d worked at McConnaghy Schmidt prior to its acquisition by Tatham.

The Nicolas Cage starrer “The Weather Man” has officially opened a production office at 500 N. Dearborn. Every department head comes from L.A. Interiors shoot at the big, old Helene Curtis warehouse at Cicero and Division.

Speaking of features: “Four serious contenders could film in part or entirely over the course of year ahead,” says CFO’s Rich Moskal. They include 10 days of “Oceans 12” and a possible TV pilot.

We hear that comedian Jeff Garlin (“Curb Your Enthusiasm”) would like to produce a feature here. So far, though, it’s just talk.

L.A. spot days rose slightly in ’03 to 5,701 shooting days, compared with 5,615 in ’02. The slow year bumped in December with 630 days, a 34% jump over the previous December.
