Galati’s arrival
marks the latest
in a series
of new moves
at Chicago-based
production, post, and
design company, Optimus
(Chicago — 31 July 2018) Optimus today announced that Paul Galati is joining the leading production and post house as colorist. With the move, Optimus will once again be offering in-house color correction.
“We’ve seen the color landscape in Chicago shift significantly over the past few years,” said EP/Managing Director Brian Hrastar. “We’ve also been following Paul’s career for awhile, and the timing was right to once again internally integrate color into our finishing workflow. We’re eager for him to share his talents with our team and clients.”
With more than a decade of post-production experience, Galati has focused on color correction for eight years, grading music videos, features and commercials.

Most recently, he was senior colorist at Periscope Post & Audio. His career began as an assistant editor at Cutters. He eventually moved over to color at Filmworkers and Company 3, and later created Cinema Light Company. He has worked with such agencies as BBDO, DDB, The Escape Pod, Gyro & Leo Burnett.
“Optimus has an incredibly talented and professional team and I am really happy to be joining them,” commented Galati. “There is this great vibe you get when you are in the Optimus space and around all of the people there. I’m very excited to be a part of it all.”
