(Chicago — 26 September 2018) One at Optimus, the production arm of leading production and post house Optimus, today announced that Jamieson Mulholland and Jay Patton have signed with ONE as directors.

“We’re thrilled to welcome Jamieson and Jay to the ONE roster,” says Optimus National Director of Sales Tim Jacobs. “Jamieson brings deep cinematography expertise and specializes in extremely technical tabletop shoots. Jay’s strengths are found in his work with real people, documentary style projects and stop motion expertise.”

Jamieson Mulholland
Mulholland has worked as a cinematographer and a photographer for almost a decade. With significant experience shooting tabletop elements, his transition to a directing role with a focus on tabletop and visual storytelling is a natural progression. He has worked for agencies including DDB, FCB, Golin and Leo Burnett on brands such as BCBS, Marshall’s, Jimmy Dean, KitchenAid and McDonald’s.

“Tabletop is a pure expression of cinematography — it’s all about the light, color, movement and a myriad of small, visual details,” says Mulholland. “This sort of visual intelligence is exactly what I have been studying and cultivating since I first picked up a camera 20 years ago, and I’m excited to have landed at a place like One at Optimus where I can continue to grow.”

Jay Patton
Previously with Dictionary Films, Patton has 10 years of professional commercial directing experience. He has worked on a wide range of projects for agencies including Leo Burnett, mcgarrybowen and Y&R on brands such as Black & Mild, Similac, Embassy Suites and Philadelphia Cream Cheese.
