It’s been a long, hot summer and now that the kids are heading back to school, we know that we will finally catch up with our favorite One Chicago heroes in the new season of Chicago Med, Chicago Fire, and Chicago P.D.!
NBC just dropped two new 30 second One Chicago promos to tantalize fans and get us completely psyched up for the upcoming season premieres.
The One City, One Family, One Chicago promo begins with an announcer voice-over saying, “September 21st, TV’s number one rated night of dramas returns” as we see a quick slideshow of Chicago Med’s Maggie (Marlyne Barrett), Chicago Fire’s Cruz (Joe Minoso), Chicago P.D.’s Upton (Tracy Spiridakos), and a group shot of our team of P.D. heroes Ruzek (Patrick Flueger), Halstead (Jesse Lee Soffer), Burgess (Marina Squerciati), and Upton, before we hear the familiar voice of Chief Boden (Eamonn Walker) saying, “When this community calls, we respond.”
As Boden’s words are heard, there is a montage of exciting scenes flashed before our eyes showing Firehouse 51’s truck speeding toward a call, then a distressed Voight (Jason Beghe) entering the emergency room carrying a wounded child.
As we see quick clips from Chicago Med, Sharon Goodwin’s (S. Epatha Merkerson) voice takes over and she says, “There are people who stand steady,” and as we see Firehouse 51 fighting a blazing building and Chicago P.D. officers standing in salute she continues, “Who hold onto hope, who continue to fight for the good of the city.”
“Whatever it takes, every single day,” Voight (Jason Beghe) adds, over a montage of our favorite One Chicago Heroes. Then Merkerson, Walker, and Beghe each add “One city, one family, one Chicago,” before the promo ends with the three of them on a rooftop enjoying drinks as Voight concludes, “Stronger together.” .
