The Chicago Advertising Federation announced the 2015 Advertising Woman of the Year is Trish Chuipek, president, Midwest Region of global media OMD, an Omnicom division, who will honored by a Chicago Advertising Federation luncheon this fall.
Multi award-winning Chuipek, called “a dynamic senior marketing and advertising executive,” began at OMD in 2010, after an eight year stint as managing director of Ogilvy One, Ogilvy & Mather’s direct and interactive network.
Among Chuipek’s accomplishments that led to the Ad Woman of the Year honor, she built the first full-service, digital direct unit at Ogilvy One; perfected the idea of the store as a brand as a key strategy for McDonald’s while at Frankel & Co. (now Arc Worldwide) and led integrated teams within global, matrixed organizations.
Beyond her advertising achievement, Chuipek more than met the criteria for service to the community. A four-year member of the 4As board, she is heavily involved in its Talent Development Program, leading mentorship sessions for Chicago’s top rising young talent.
For the past three years, she’s chaired the table sales committee for the Off the Street Club holiday fundraiser, setting record sales every year. She also was a CAF board member for many years.
Chuipek’s lengthy list of honors and recognitions include consistent recognition for outstanding sales performance; winning Effies, the DMA Echo Award, the A. Eicoff Award for Innovation in Broadcast, CIMA Awards, among others. She also contributed to OMD being named 2014 Global Media Agency of the Year. She has also coached St. Raymond’s grade schools’ girls’ athletics volleyball team for many years.
The Ad Woman of the Year luncheon will be held Oct. 22 at the Radisson Blu hotel, starting with an 11:30 a.m. reception and noon lunch and program ending at 2 p.m.
