Odd Machine adds new executive producer

The Odd Machine ? the year-old full-service production company of partners Seth Henrickson, Chris Shegich and Debra Shegich ? has named Tom Leonard as executive producer.

Odd Machine initially hired Leonard freelance to manage a large corporate video project. “We found his strategic vision to be completely in sync with everyone here and knew he was the right fit for executive producer,” Henrikson says.

For his part, Leonard calls his move to Odd Machine “a great opportunity to help grow the company. When I looked at the creative environment at Odd Machine, I saw strength in so many areas and a complete approach rarely offered in our industry.”

Leonard, the executive producer for now-defunct Flux design company, had spent a dozen years in Los Angeles and San Francisco where he produced for a number of post houses. Returning to Chicago, he freelanced for local and national agencies and production companies.

The Odd Machine offers production, post-production, graphics, color correction, and 3D animation. Henrikson is director/DP, Chris Shegich, editor and Debra Shegich, colorist.

Henrikson and the Shegiches previously collaborated on the 1997 Slamdance and Hollywood Film Festival-winning gun control documentary “Goreville, U.S.A.,” as well as numerous commercials.
