To aspiring artists, a show at Cinespace marks a great milestone in one’s career. It can sometimes take years and many dollars to produce.

Hundreds of blockbusters and classic television shows have been shot, organized, and produced at Cinespace Chicago Film Studios, from Shameless, Empire, Chicago Fire, and more. Hundreds of influential producers, directors, actors, and crew developed their work here.

For one special 12-year-old, Natalie Lising, Cinespace is sponsoring a one-day-only art show, showcasing her photography.

On Sunday, June 9, Natalie will be displaying and selling her photos that show cinematic urban and natural landscapes of Chicago, a direct reflection of the lessons she learned from her filmmaker mentors growing up.

Natalie has “grown up” around the film sets since she was 6 years old, and the influence she received from the environment and professionals around her shaped her interests. When she was 8-years-old, Natalie requested a special meeting with the owners of Cinespace to learn more about the facility and its history.

This meeting sparked a long-lasting relationship with the Pissios family and gave Natalie a sense of support and confidence that not many 8-year-olds had.

Nick Pissios of Cinespace Chicago Film Studios, has since been a huge supporter of Natalie’s career and in March officially agreed to sponsor Natalie’s show.

Sunday, June 9, 2019. 12pm-4pm.
