The Midwest Independent Film Festival has announced a Spring Donation Drive to run the duration of St. Patrick’s Day weekend to help fund operational and programming costs associated with the festival.

To help encourage support, each multiple of $20 donated in the campaign will enter donors into a raffle for a chance to win prizes including Cubs and White Sox tickets, $100 gift certificates to the dining experiences at Bellemore, BOKA, Duck Duck Goat, Dutch & Doc’s, Girl & the Goat, GT Fish & Oyster, GT Prime, Momotaro, The J Parker, and Swift & Sons, tickets to “Drink, Date, Laugh” at Laugh Factory Chicago, and year-long Premium Couple Memberships to Midwest Independent Film Festival.

“As a non-profit arts organization, we rely in large part on donor support throughout the year to continue our work serving the Midwest film community,” said Executive Director Amy Guth. “This year, we have been fortunate to also have the support of tremendous partners throughout the city, who have donated incredible items for our fundraising efforts.”

The Midwest Independent Film Festival is the nation’s only film festival solely dedicated to the Midwest filmmaker, presenting audiences with regionally produced independent cinema every first Tuesday of the month at Landmark Century Centre Cinema, 2828 N. Clark in Chicago.

This year-round film festival sits proudly at the center of the independent film scene in Chicago and the Midwest and is dedicated to celebrating and strengthening the Midwest filmmaking community.

The Spring Donation Drive campaign runs through Monday, March 18, 2019. Winners of raffle items will be announced later in the following week. Details at midwestfilm.com and on the Midwest Independent Film Festival’s Facebook page.
