“Mengele” one of nine docs at Slamdance

BOB HERCULES and CHERI PUGH’S “Forgiving Dr. Mengele” is one of only nine documentaries screening in the Slamdance Film Festival in Park City, Utah. Jan. 22 and Jan. 25,

“Forgiving Dr. Mengele” tells the story of Eva Mozes Kor, a Holocaust survivor who took the controversial public position to forgive the Nazis.

It will receive a limited theatrical release from First Run Features including a week at the Gene Siskel Film Center beginning Feb. 24, before releasing it on DVD. It also “will also play at the Miami, Atlanta and Harrisburg Jewish film festivals,
