McDonald’s goes big with Global Collector Cups

McDonald’s has long been synonymous with iconic collectibles that evoke cherished memories, from Happy Meal toys to vintage posters and trading cards.

Now, the fast-food giant is tapping into that nostalgia with a new global Collector’s Edition, offering fans a fresh take on beloved McDonald’s memorabilia with a limited-time series of collectible cups.

The new Collector’s Edition cups, available in more than 30 countries, are crafted in embossed glass or tritan plastic. Each design revisits classic McDonald’s keepsakes, from collaborations with Coca-Cola, Mattel, Universal, Sanrio, and TY Beanie Babies. The cups feature reimagined designs that celebrate iconic collectibles from different eras, including the 1976 Grimace Mug, the 1999 Pet Lovin’ Barbie, and the 2007 Shrek from Shrek the Third.

In the new creative from Wieden + Kennedy Kaiju-sized characters, from Grimace to Snoopy make their way to a mythical McDonald’s land, all to the tune of Nat King Cole’s L-O-V-E. Watch below:

For collectors and nostalgia enthusiasts alike, the Collector’s Edition cups offer a chance to revisit the past while creating new memories. Fans can check their McDonald’s App or visit local participating McDonald’s restaurants to see which of the Collector’s Edition cups are available in their region.
