Many premieres coming up for Chicago indies

SALVADOR ROMELLO BARCENA’S supernatural thriller/action drama, “Fallen Souls,” has its world premiere April 16 at the Portage Theater.

The two hour film, described by Barcena, “travels the difficult journey to understand faith and unconditional love for god, family and self, reflecting the spiritual war between good and evil in day to day battles between mankind.”

Ric Arthur (who acted in my film “The First Breath of Tengan Rei”) stars as a man hunting his family’s mysterious killer.

“DEBT OF THE HEART,” a short film made by Jonathan Cohon premieres Friday, April 16 at the Geneva Film Festival, April 15-18.

“It is the story of how the relationships in our lives bind us together, sometimes forever”, Cohon says. “There is an element of supernatural influence in the story that makes it all unique.”
