Machete adds Bill Ebel’s editor/director talents
as it expands into production of visual media

As one of the growing number of editorial companies delving into production of visual communications, Machete Edit & Design could have a leg up with the recent addition of a second-generation director.

Editor/director Bill Ebel, who had worked for Bob Ebel Productions for five years, joined the company to helm Machete’s motion production.

Luiz Landgraf, who founded Machete in 1998, describes the company’s expansion into start-to-finish services as a “natural evolution of our business exercise.”

In addition to its core business of creative editorial, Machete provides interactive production, web design and visual storytelling integrated into the web.

Spot production, he adds, would be only “one part of the fairly wide landscape of visual convergence,” where television and the web intersect.
