Lightswitch Video, a Chicago-based video production company, won a Suncoast Regional Emmy Award on December 10 for their work on Mardi Gras for All Y’all, a project created in partnership with The Advocate in New Orleans.

The segment, titled Planning Your Perfect Mardi Gras, was nominated in the Informational/Instructional – Short-Form Content category.

“A big thank you to the Television Academy for recognizing our work on this project. I’m so thankful to Thom, Zana, Robert, our colleagues at The Advocate and to our amazing team at Lightswitch Video for their collective efforts that led to this show being made,” says Andrew Nuño, Lightswitch’s lead video producer on the project. “Making this show has been one of the most special experiences of my producing career thus far and this Emmy win is the perfect way to cap it.”

The video features advice from locals about the best way to celebrate Mardi Gras in New Orleans – from what to bring to the parade, what to wear, where the best spot is to watch, why ladders line the route, and more!

“I am so proud of our entire team, top to bottom for producing Emmy-winning work. Producer, Andrew Nuño and editor, Thom Pfiffner deserve special recognition for their talent, and the hard work they put in over months to get this entire project completed,” says Bryce Anderson, Lightswitch’s Head of Sales. “We’re also thankful for our partners at Nola.com – Robert Young, Judi Terzotiz and Zana Georges – for playing such an important role in this concept and being outstanding collaborators throughout. We feel so lucky to have the team we do!”

The Suncoast Emmys took place in Orlando, FL on December 10, 2022.
