Leuer makes jump from corporate America to film his first feature, a dark comedy a la “Fargo”

Paul Leuer of Printer’s Row Pictures is nearing picture lock on his debut feature “Eden Court,” the dark comedy he shot last summer at local sites including the Schaumburg Flyers’ Alexian Field.

Leuer said he planned a preview screening around the New Year, and aimed to complete post-production by March.

Murphy Guyer adapted the script from his own 1982 play. Oak Park Native Thomas Lennon (“Reno 911,” “The Godfather of Green Bay,”) stars as a baseball groundskeeper whose on-field career was cut short by an injury, desperately looking for a way to start his life over.

Also starring Northwestern alum Kimberly Williams (“According to Jim”), Stephnie Weir (“MadTV”) and Christian Finnegan (“Chappelle’s Show”).
