A twenty-year vet of Leo B’s Sydney office, Ots will oversee the creative direction for Samsung, one of the agencies “marquee international clients,” according to a press release issued today.
With experience gained from servicing the account as Digital Creative Director in Australia, Ots offers key global knowledge of the business to help ensure success in his new role.
“Samsung is an incredible brand with a strong sense of purpose, and it plays a huge role in people’s lives,” he explains. “Everything they make is as much about people as it is about technology, and fostering that connection is a critical component of our work.”

Ots will start in the position immediately and report to Leo B Chief Creative Officer Britt Nolan, who describes the new EVP/ECD as a “perfect fit.”
“Kieran is a strong leader with a gift for creating ideas that connect deeply with humans, regardless of medium,” he continues. “He approaches business issues with creative solutions – not just ads.”
Ots also brings a range of digital experience to the Chicago office. Among his digital accomplishments is the smartphone game “Run That Town,” which his team created for the Australian Bureau of Statistics.
Designed to help create awareness of census data among Australians, the game asked players to approve or reject proposals for their own neighborhood. The outcome – pleased or displeased residents – would vary based on the postal code in which users were playing, as the game was informed by real demographic data.
Run That Town won Gold at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity in the Creative Data category, earned awards from The ONE Show and D&AD, and was featured in Google Creative Sandbox, a gallery of best-in-class advertising creative.
Additionally, Ots and his teams have been recognized for work by major award shows including Adfest, Spikes, and the London International Awards.
