Laughlin Constable named national agency of record for Vienna Beef

Laughlin Constable, the independent, full-service creative agency, today announced it has been named national agency of record for the legendary hot dog company Vienna Beef following successful project work together since 2021.

“With Laughlin Constable, we found a true strategic partner with really strong creative and media chops and they clearly recognize our care and respect for our customer and their work reflects that understanding,” said Timothy O’Brien, president of Vienna Beef. “We are embarking on several new initiatives, including strengthening our social media efforts, new market and product expansions and new marketing efforts to support our ViennaBeef.com e-commerce site, and LC’s shared passion and enthusiasm for our brand will help us maximize those opportunities.”

The agency of record relationship includes strategy, creative, social marketing, public relations and media to be led by Laughlin Constable. Additionally, the agency will assist Vienna Beef with improving merchandising efforts with their operator base. The agency first worked on a project basis with Vienna Beef in 2021 answering the brand’s call for a strategic, creative execution to support its regional customers hit hard by 17 months of the pandemic. The Hot Dog Stand Challenge was launched to drive hot dog lovers back to their favorite local Vienna Beef Hot Dog Stands, raise awareness of the brand and support the Illinois Restaurant Association Educational Foundation (IRAEF) Restaurant Employee Relief Fund. More than 4,300 participants recorded nearly 30,000 check-ins, or hot dog stand visits, in just 60 days across 365 participating hot dog stands.

“Vienna Beef is such a beloved, legendary brand in the Chicagoland market and especially here at our agency,” said Anthony Romano, CEO of Laughlin Constable. “We’re proud to be part of their next big chapter and are feeling energized about helping stretch the brand into new creative territories and expand into new markets.”

Laughlin Constable has offices in both Chicago, home of Vienna Beef’s Chicago Hot Dog, and Milwaukee, one of the brand’s most recent retail and sports sponsorship expansion markets. Vienna Beef was named the official hot dog of the Milwaukee Brewers last month and will debut this week at American Family Field concessions.
