North West took a major step into the spotlight Saturday night, performing her first headlining concert at The Vic Theatre. Kim Kardashian and Kanye West were both in attendance for their daughter’s Chicago show, though the former couple reportedly watched from separate balconies.
The 13-year-old drew plenty of attention not only for the milestone performance, but also for the two very famous parents watching from opposite sides of the venue.
Videos from the performance quickly spread across social media, showing North performing choreographed routines in a Japanese-inspired look as she worked through material from her growing music catalog.
Kardashian also shared clips from the concert on her Instagram Stories, clearly celebrating her daughter’s first major headline moment.

For West, the night carried extra significance. The rapper and producer was born in Atlanta but famously raised in Chicago, the city that has remained central to his artistic identity throughout his career.
North’s Vic Theatre appearance follows the release of her debut EP, N0rth4vr, which arrived May 1.
She also released the music video for “Aishite” in August. The title translates to “love me” in Japanese, and the track leans into themes of isolation, betrayal, and distrust.
North had previously planned a co-headlining run with collaborator Molly Santana, but that tour was canceled before its scheduled August launch.
At the time, North told followers that while the tour would no longer happen, she had “something special” planned. That something turned out to include Chicago.
Saturday’s show marked the clearest sign yet that North is moving beyond guest appearances and celebrity-kid curiosity into an increasingly serious music career of her own.
And for her first headlining gig, she chose one of Chicago’s best-known music rooms.
