The long wait could be over. In an announcement today, Kanye West may actually debut DONDA in his hometown.
Kanye has announced a third DONDA listening session. This one is taking place in his hometown of Chicago, at Soldier Field, on August 26.
West uploaded a text post to his Instagram page this afternoon, reading “DONDA SOLDIER FIELD 8 26 21,” seen below.
The concert begins at 9PM CST and ticket sales for the event will go live August 20 at noon CST via Soldier Field’s website.
The mystery album, a tribute to his late mother Donda West, has yet to be released but there have been “listening parties” in Las Vegas and Atlanta. The last event revealed multiple new songs, and significant updates to tracks he debuted at the first listening session.

After several missed release dates, the album’s preorder page has now been updated with yet another new release date, Friday, Aug. 20, 2021. Well… Maybe. West’s manager said the album will drop after this show.
The album features 24 tracks, many of which are floating around YouTube in various forms, including “No Child Left Behind,” a snippet of which debuted in a Beats commercial in late July.
In any case, as this album morphs into perfection, this concert promises to be spectacular.
