Justified: City Primeval back filming with extra precautions. Exclusive pics

After a terrifying experience while filming on location Thursday morning, Justified: City Primeval has once again returned to filming on location, but they have notably added an extra precaution.

Thursday evening’s filming was forced to halt when two cars engaging in a rolling gun battle barreled through the filming barricades.

Kudos to the City of Chicago for their quick thinking in putting an end to those concerns. See the photo below showing two large City of Chicago snow plows blocking both sides of the street to all traffic.

There will be no crashing through those barriers.

In an earlier statement, the Chicago Police clearly stated their mission to keep film crews protected:

The Chicago Police Department is committed to ensuring members of the city’s vibrant film and television community are able to do their jobs safely. We work in close coordination with the Chicago Film Office, the Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events, and the Office of Emergency Management and Communications to ensure production crews have the resources necessary to feel safe and secure while filming in the city’s neighborhoods.

It was a joy to see the cast and crew relaxed and able to get back to work in a safe environment.

Justified: City Primeval has been filming in Chicago since the beginning of May and is expected to continue filming through late August. The production office and interior sets are at Chicago Studio City.
