July 28 Comedy Shorts Festival to screen ?more films than ever’ and award first Best of Fest prize

The eighth Chicago Short Comedy Video and Film Festival returns July 28 with its largest selection of films yet and its first-ever award.

“We have more films this year than ever,” said festival co-founder and producer Marion Sours of Wits’ End Shorts.

“This is possible because we have many very short films, which makes for a high-energy evening, since there is such variety,” Sours said. “Very short films are a treat to watch, because as people in the industry know, it takes great skill to make them.”

Jim Zulevic headlines the 7:30 show, presenting his GayCo Productions short “Baby Time Share.” An alum of Second City and Columbia College, Zulevic’s TV acting credits include “Seinfeld” and “Curb Your Enthusiasm,” and his writing credits include “The Jamie Kennedy Experiment” and MTV’s “Lyricists Lounge.”
