Keslow Camera adds Jim Summers and 3 new techs

Camera ace Jim Summers

KESLOW CAMERA doubled its Chicago staff to eight, with the recent hiring of Jim Summers as camera rentals marketing agent and three recent college grads as techs.

He moved over after 13 years at Fletcher Camera and its successor company, Cineverse.  Earlier, he spen two years at Panavision until they closed their Chicago office.

“I’m happy to be working here, with these great, great people,” says Summers, who’s back in the office Monday after two weeks of company training at Keslow Camera’s LA office.

“A camera house known for great service and custom building, we have a big R and D division where we develop unique products to make the cameraman’s life easier,” he adds.

“Jim brings fifteen years of experience in the film equipment industry to the company,” says Robert Keslow, CEO of Keslow Camera. “His leadership skills and invaluable perspective further equip our organization to expand its capabilities.”

Colette Gabriel, Keslow marketing manager heading the Chicago office, announced the addition of prep techs Miles Burke, from grad school and a former camera assistant and Marion Tucker, from Columbia College and utility tech Matt Young, from Tribeca Flashpoint, who’d been freelancing.

Keslow Camera, located at Cinespace, provides cameras and accessories to NBC/Universal’s three shows — “Chicago PD,” “Chicago Fire” and new “Chicago Med” and Fox’ “Empire” — currently filming at Cinespace.
