Jeremy Allen White wins first Emmy for The Bear

2024 is the year of Jeremy Allen White. In a night of celebration at the 75th annual Emmy Awards, White, known for his role as chef Carmen “Carmy” Berzatto in The Bear, took home his first Emmy. the actor was honored with the award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series, marking another achievement for the acclaimed FX series.

Competing against notable actors in the category, including Bill Hader (Barry), Jason Segel (Shrinking), Martin Short (Only Murders in the Building), and Jason Sudeikis (Ted Lasso), White’s win highlights his outstanding performance and the impact of The Bear.

White expressed his pride and gratitude upon accepting the Emmy, stating, “I’m so proud, I’m so full of gratitude to be standing in front of you all.” He shared his deep love for the show, emphasizing how it filled him up and ignited a passion within him to match the beautiful work of the cast and crew.
