It’s a go for Wisconsin’s first-ever film tax, thanks to unprecedented private industry group’s work

Wisconsin takes its place as one of the film friendliest states with the May 1 passage of the Film Wisconsin package of tax incentives by the state assembly. It takes effect July, 2007.

“The state legislature sent a loud and clear message to the worldwide visual media industry ?Wisconsin wants your business,” said George Tzougros, executive director of the Wisconsin Arts Board in Madison and a member of the Film Wisconsin Task Force.
