IPA reelects Teamsters’ Crabtree as board president

In a recent election the Illinois Production Alliance board of directors was reelected, with the exception of one member stepping down after serving on the board since the IPA’s founding in 2004.

Reelected board officers are president, Jeff Crabtree, Teamsters Joint Council 25; Mark Hogan, VP, Local 476; Justin Conway, 2nd VP, Cinematographers Guild 600; secretary, Eric Chaudron, SAG AFTRA and legislative chair, Dan Moore, DGA.

Newly elected to the board are treasurer, James Laubin, Corbett, CPA firm Duncan & Hubly, PC, a board member replacing Sally Fletcher, Fletcher Camera, and diversity chair Claire Simon, Claire Simon Casting, replacing Sharon King, casting director. 

Board members are Mark Androw, STORY; John Bosher, Throughline Films; Zoe Borys, Fletcher Camera; Jennifer Jobst, Wardrobe Local 769; Wayne Kubacki, Essanay Studio and Lighting; Richard Lederer, UPM; Scott Smith, Chicago Audio Works and Eileen Willenborg, retired SAG executive director.

New to the board are Radi Akel, Harpo Studios and Bill Becker, WLB, Inc., also formerly with Harpo Studios.

The IPA’s mission is to support Illinois creative visual media industry.  It is credited for its untiring efforts that culminated in the legislative passage of Illinois’ 30% Tax Credit. 

In August, it coordinated the meeting of Gov. Quinn with executives of broadcast and cable TV show executives.  IPA board members plan on making another sales trip to Los Angeles in December to revisit many of those executives in December, believing that TV series  

The IPA currently has an estimated 40 individual and 35 company and organization members.
