Women In Comedy’s “Inside Jokes: Chicago”

(Chicago) On July 29, Women in Comedy hosts Inside Jokes, a FREE conference for women looking to get involved and ahead in comedy and entertainment!

The event will be held from 3:30 p.m to 5:30 p.m. at The Laugh Factory.

At this annual event, Chicago’s funniest women in the comedy and entertainment industry connect, inspire, and empower each other. Women in Comedy’s Inside Jokes conference is a hilarious, inspiring, and informative evening for women seeking advice on building their career in comedy.

The evening will include a speed networking session followed by a panel of professional comedians, producers, and writers from Chicago. This event is by women and for women, but all are welcome.

“Empowering women is more important than ever in today’s political climate,” says the organization’s founder and executive director, Victoria Elena Nones. “Women in the comedy industry have strong voices and experiences that are commercially viable and it’s time for us to see more women on and off screen in comedy. We are excited to be offering this event as a way to connect, empower, and advocate for women as our mission statement calls for,”
