LANCE CATANIA of X-Ray Productions has completed post on his debut feature, the HD horror pic “Cup of My Blood.” Catania, a seasoned commercial director/DP, shot on HD in December 2003. Catania wrote the script with Ken Nilsson, who produced with Noel Olken of Waitergonebad Productions.

“Cup of My Blood” stars Daniel Patrick Sullivan, Janina Gavankar, Roger Anderson, Circus?Szalweski, and Lance Mulvaney. X-Ray co-owner Gene Cosentino is executive producer. Salvatore Peccoraro edited. Robert McNaughton scored and Doug Pieper and Phil Barrie did sound design at Bosco Productions. Effects by Sean McMenemy of SeanFX.

TANYA WEXLER’S rehab drama “Relative Evil,” formerly “Ball in the House,” has gotten its long-awaited DVD release through Screen Media Ventures. “Relative Evil” shot here in 2000, debuted at the Toronto Film Festival Sept. 12, 2001, and struggled to find distribution despite strong receptions from reviewers and festival audiences.

Based on Jim Swanson’s book, “Axis of Evil” examines the Bush administration’s rhetorical use of the concept of evil to manipulate public opinion. KITCHEN PRODUCTIONS are in production on their SAG-experimental debut feature “Legit,” which shoots on DV through February. Director James W. Boinski stars as a mobster-turned-nightclub owner trying to cut his mob ties. Boinski wrote the script with executive producer John Stemberg and producer Richard Strimer. “Legit” co-stars Norm Boucher, Allen Kalfas, Angie Schoofs, and Stemberg and Strimer. DON WINTER’S dramatic short “13 Days in April” screens Feb. 4-6 at the Dam Short Film Festival in Boulder City, Nev., and March 10-20 at the 29th Cleveland International Film Festival.
